Guiding growth and healing, one kind moment at a time.

Meet KèIra!

Hi, I’m KèIra (pronounced "key-eye-ruh"), and I’m so glad you’re here!

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker  in Washington, D.C. / Maryland / Virginia and the proud founder of The Kindness Korner.

At the heart of my work is a simple yet profound belief: kindness is the foundation of healing and growth. I specialize in creating supportive, empowering spaces where individuals can embrace their resilience and embark on transformative journeys.

My passion for social work stems from my own experiences as a former foster youth, which have deeply informed my trauma-informed and person-centered approach. Whether working in therapy, policy development, or organizational empowerment, kindness remains at the core of all I do.

Clients I Support

I work alongside individuals navigating life transitions and emotional challenges. Some of the areas I support include:

  • Parenthood & Family Changes – Expecting parents, new parents, and those adjusting to changes in family dynamics.

  • Relationships – Individuals who are newly married, recently divorced, or navigating significant shifts in partnerships.

  • Education Journeys – Traditional college students, as well as adults returning to school or pursuing higher education later in life.

  • Career Growth & Adjustment – Professionals beginning a new career, exploring career shifts, or managing workplace stress.

  • Emotional Well-Being – Those experiencing grief, loss, depression, anxiety, or challenges with self-esteem and identity.

  • Life Transitions – Anyone working through uncertainty or redefining personal and professional goals.

What This Looks Like for You

Therapy is a team effort. I believe you are in the driver’s seat of your own journey—you set the destination. My role is like Google Maps: I offer clinical insight, highlight different routes, and help you navigate obstacles along the way, but you always choose the path forward.

Together, we will:

  • Explore how life transitions are impacting your mental and emotional health.

  • Build coping strategies to manage anxiety, depression, and stress.

  • Process grief and loss in a compassionate, supportive space.

  • Strengthen self-esteem, self-trust, and confidence to move forward.

  • Develop practical tools for navigating relationships, family dynamics, and career changes.

  • Clarify personal values to guide decisions and increase alignment with what matters most.

  • Establish and maintain healthy boundaries in relationships, work, and family settings.

My Approach

I integrate evidence-based and holistic modalities tailored to your needs, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to reframe unhelpful thoughts and patterns.

  • Mindfulness & Stress Reduction – to build presence, awareness, and calm.

  • Solution-Focused Therapy – to identify strengths and create realistic, achievable goals.

  • Values & Boundaries Work – to help you identify what’s most important and protect your energy.

  • Trauma-Informed Care – ensuring that all sessions are grounded in safety, trust, and empowerment.

Every session is collaborative—you bring the direction, I bring the tools. Together, we create a supportive and empowering space for both healing and growth.
