Keira R. Brown, MSW, LICSW, LCSW-C, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, policy strategist, and founder of The Kindness Korner. She currently serves as the Director of Policy and Performance Management at a public housing authority, where she leads initiatives in compliance, research, and organizational strategy. With over a decade of experience across housing, case management, schools, and services for veterans, families, individuals, and children, Keira has held roles at the entry, mid, and senior leadership levels. Her expertise spans trauma-informed systems change, community outreach, clinical services for adults, training development, and performance management. As a practicing therapist, social work exam tutor, and current Doctor of Social Work (DSW) student, Keira is committed to helping social workers navigate their careers with clarity, strategy, and purpose—whether they’re just beginning or ready to step into leadership.

The Kindness Korner offers tailored career consultations for social workers at every stage—from students to emerging leaders. Whether you're exploring grad school, transitioning roles, or preparing for leadership, our sessions provide clear, supportive guidance rooted in both clinical and macro perspectives.

Consultation Packages:

• Student Support Session – $40
  For BSW/MSW students only. One 60-minute session focused on grad school, internships, or early career prep. Includes resume or cover letter feedback.
   
• Solo 1-on-1 – $75
  A single 60-minute session ideal for resume review, interview prep, or targeted career support.
   
• Empowerment Package (2 sessions) – $140
  Two 60-minute sessions for career planning and document review. Perfect for early to mid-career professionals.
   
• Advancement Package (3 sessions) – $195
  Comprehensive support across three 60-minute sessions. Includes resume, cover letter, and mock interview—great for leadership transitions or professional growth.

All sessions are booked and paid through SimplePractice, our secure client portal. Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Choose Your Session

Review our consultation packages and decide which is best for you:

• Solo Session -  - Book as SW Career 1
   
• Empowerment Package (2 sessions) - Book as SW Career 2
   
• Advancement Package (3 sessions) -  - Book as SW Career 3
   
• Student Support Session (BSW/MSW students only) -  - Book as SW  Student
   

Step 2: Book Through SimplePractice

Visit our SimplePractice booking page : https://keira-brown-socialwork-consultations.clientsecure.me and select your preferred session type.
You’ll be prompted to:

• Create a client profile
   
• Choose your date and time
   
• Upload your unofficial transcript (students only)
  Step 3: Payment
• A valid credit or debit card is required to book your session.
   
• Your card will not be charged until the day of your scheduled session.
   
• In the event of a no-show or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice,
   
  • Your card will be charged the full session fee.
     
• This policy ensures:
   
  • Respect for the time set aside for your session
     
  • Fair access to appointments for other clients
     
• If you have any questions, you're welcome to reach out before booking.
   

Step 4: Confirmation & Zoom Link

Thank you for booking your career consultation with The Kindness Korner! Here's what happens next:

• You will receive a confirmation email with your session details.
  
•  A secure Zoom link will be emailed to you 24 hours before your session.
   
• Your card is on file but won’t be charged until the day of your session.
   
• If you booked a Student Support Session, please upload your unofficial transcript in the portal.
   
•  You must review and sign all required policies in the SimplePractice portal before your session. Access your documents through the email link or portal login.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

• You may reschedule via the SimplePractice portal with at least 24 hours’ notice
   
• Cancellations under 24 hours are non-refundable
