The Kindness Korner Internship Program is a unique, all-virtual experience designed for MSW students in at least their second semester, focused on expanding skills in both clinical and macro social work. Our program offers flexible, after-work hour opportunities, making it accessible for students with busy schedules. We select only one intern per semester to provide a highly personalized learning experience, with a small stipend offered during the spring and fall semesters. To maximize access, each student may participate in this internship only once during their MSW career.
For interns located within the DMV area (defined as within an hour in all directions), the program includes a 1-2 day required in-person working session once a month during the duration of the internship to foster hands-on collaboration and networking.
What You’ll Gain:
• Practical experience in creating and delivering impactful workshops.
• Opportunity to host a virtual workshop (provided for free to attendees).
• Exposure to real-world social work practices through observation.
• Development of research, communication, and presentation skills.
• Insight into integrating clinical and macro approaches in social work.
• For MSW students in their final semester: access to study materials and test preparation support tailored for graduate licensure, included in supervision sessions.
• A supportive environment that encourages creativity and professional growth.
Intern Stipend:
Interns selected for the spring and fall semesters will receive a small stipend to support their participation in the program based on funding available.
