This May, The Kindness Korner invites you to participate in our inaugural Kommunity Walk challenge in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.
This initiative is centered around one simple idea: get outside, move your body, and take a moment for yourself.
Whether you walk in your neighborhood, a local park, or your preferred trail, this is an opportunity to prioritize your well-being in a way that is accessible and intentional.
Walking can support mental health by reducing stress, improving mood, and creating space for clarity and reset.
Date: May 16, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM (or a time that works for you)
Participants are encouraged to complete a 3.1-mile walk:
Walk at your own pace and in a way that feels comfortable for you.
For those located in the DMV area, there is a limited in-person walking option.
Location: Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail (Oxon Hill, MD)
Parking: Tanger Outlets National Harbor (near the trail entrance)
To reserve a spot for the in-person walk, please complete the RSVP form below: https://forms.gle/UdeASyurghVY9U9VA
This is a community wellness initiative and not a therapy session or clinical service.
To maintain appropriate professional boundaries, current therapy clients of The Kindness Korner are not recommended to attend the in-person walk. Clients are encouraged to participate in the Kommunity Walk challenge independently in their own space.
