How long are therapy sessions?

Session length varies. Sessions may be 30, 45, or 53+ minutes depending on the service type and what is clinically appropriate. Standard individual therapy sessions are typically 53 minutes. Your specific session length will be discussed when you begin services.

What happens during the free 15-minute consultation?

The free 15-minute consultation is a brief phone call that gives us a chance to connect. You can share what's bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you have, and we can both get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. There is no pressure or obligation.

What insurance do you accept?

Do you offer a sliding scale?

A limited number of reduced-fee spots may be available on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to discuss your situation and current availability.

What is your cancellation and no-show policy?

I ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations and no-shows may be subject to a fee. Full details are outlined in the practice policies you will receive when you begin services.

Do you complete FMLA, ESA, reasonable-accommodation, or other forms?

Form completion requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and are generally reserved for established clients. Completion of third-party forms (such as FMLA, ESA letters, or reasonable-accommodation documentation) may involve an administrative fee. Please reach out to discuss your specific needs.

Current clients can access the secure client portal at thekindnesskorner.clientsecure.me, or through the Client Login link in the navigation. The portal is for current clients only. If you are interested in becoming a client, please reach out via email or the contact form.

What should I do in a mental health emergency?

Accepted Answer

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or are in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. I am not available for crisis intervention between sessions. Your safety is the priority — please reach out to emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
